Product Warranty: Mirrors
Haynes Glass Limited, warrants that all Mirror Glass (mirrors) supplied by Haynes Glass:
Are fit for all purposes for which they are commonly supplied, and
Are free from defects to the extent referred to in AS/NZS 4667, and
Are safe and durable to the standard referred to in NZS 4223.
Haynes Glass warrant that for a period of two (2) years from the date of delivery, that the mirror will not contain defects resulting in discoloration, spots or clouding of the silver (mirror) film on the rear of the glass which obstructs the mirror image of the viewable area, subject to the terms and conditions of this warranty.
In the event that the mirror develops silvering defects, Haynes Glass will replace the defective mirror and the warranty period will extend for a further period of two (2) years from delivery of the new glass.
This warranty shall not apply where any one or more of the following circumstances exist:
If the mirror surface coating or backing is broken or cracked.
The mirrors are damaged by improper handling, storage or installation by any person(s) not representing Haynes Glass.
The mirror is subject to abnormal stresses from heat application, building / foundation movement, excessive vibration or the failure to allow for expansion or contraction in the framing.
If the mirror is subjected to still water or other liquid.
The silver mirror backing is attacked by incompatible sealants, cleaning fluids, moisture runoff, paint or chemical fumes.
The silver mirror backing is attacked by incompatible glue or adhesive during installation by any person(s) not representing Haynes Glass..
The mirror is installed in wet or damp areas without a suitable edge sealer applied to the edges.
The mirror is installed in swimming pool enclosures, refrigeration products or used outdoors without written approval from Haynes GLass of the installation method.
Haynes Glass reserve the right to inspect in the field any mirrors which are alleged to be defective and which are subject to a claim under warranty.
Please note:
If the Customer acts as a re-seller and on-sells the mirror it will void the Haynes Glass warranty.
This warranty shall become void and shall not apply to work for which the supplier has not received payment in full.
